A Diving Chicken...

Now those who know me will know that I am not one to take unnecessary risks with life and limb... whilst I like to consider myself fairly courageous at heart, I've never really understood the thrill of near death experiences....my life is useful and precious....or maybe that is just an excuse...
Last week changed all that, temporarily anyway. It is with great pride and not a small amount of surprise that I share with you the fact that I ... yes me.... strapped myself into abseiling gear, climbed to the top of a telegraph pole, stood up on the top (no small feat - gives a whole new meaning to "pole dancing") and then...(drum roll) leapt off. Crazy ? Absolutely... Fun ? Fabulously ! Why ? well... I couldn't let the side down... it was me and 15 Fijians on a staff retreat doing lots of wild and crazy things - but this one took the rice cake. And I must say - it was an incredible experience in the joy of positive thinking, the power of telling those inner voices to shut the h*** up (you know the ones - the voices that say "stop you crazy fool, you will die!!!") and overcoming self limitations. Highly recommended, but kids - don't try it at home :-)

Crikey love - most impressive. Before I read the story I thought it wa going to be some strange but true experience with submerged poultry.
