The angel is very much a typical girl in that her language and fine motor skills developed much faster than her gross motor skills... She can talk beautifully, draw well, knows almost all of the alphabet, but bless her, she can't drive to save herself... The boy next door (bnd) is 3 weeks younger than her, and very much a boy... He runs, jumps, climbs and powers around on his bike.
Today the angel wanted a turn on the "motorbike" (she loves cars, motorbikes, trucks and airplanes at the moment!). She barely made it move though, she was eating snail's dust really... Bnd kindly decided to teach her and they spent a merry while with him showing her how to steer, how to go fast, and how to do a u-turn... while the mummies coo-ed in glee!
I suspect they will be the terrible two by their birthdays!
Sometimes I travel through the world, sometimes I journey within. Some travel has a destination, a goal, and some is simply about the joy of discovery. This blog keeps me company as I indulge my passion for exploration, my wanderlust.

Our first parties!
So we went to our first birthday parties... first a Dora party to celebrate Isabella turning 3...and then a pizza party for Maddie turning 4.
I am not sure what Indi made of the adventure...but for me it was a beautiful moment of realising that fantasy had become reality. So many times in the past in my life I have looked in from the outside on kids' birthday parties...I have attended some, and seen many from a distance... and always I hoped and wished that one day I would take my child along, or better yet, have a party for my very own child.
And today that dream started to come true.
